USE YOUR WORDS

Our Intent

we created Paperwork to help make it easier for guys to be more intentional and thoughtful about sharing our feelings, words and emotions.

Paperwork is created and designed by Proper, a brand identity studio in Atlanta, led by creative partners Jason Orme and Jonathan Lawrence.

As husbands, fathers, sons, and designers, we often found ourselves at a loss on the card aisle. Most cards felt overly feminine, glossy or glittery. Nothing felt quite like it was capturing the spirit of what we wanted to say or how we wanted to say it.

Things that Matter

We believe the people we care about can use more of our encouragement. Our praise. Our sympathies. But we don’t always know how to connect as deeply as we would like. So, we built Paperwork to make it easier to share things that matter with people that matter.

Strong by Design

The greeting card aisle usually runs a little thin on options that guys might want to give (or get). Our designs are meant to represent a more masculine point of view, strength of voice, and sense of humor. The medium is at least part of the message.

Easy Does It

All of us have a lot on our plates. A little help simplifying our intentionality can go a long way. Our flagship products are created for convenience - built for stashing in a sock drawer so you always have the card you need to share your sentiments.

“I was sick, so I couldn’t make it out to get a card for Valentine’s, then I remembered I had my Better Half Pack at home. I outsmarted myself.”

“I used the sympathy card the other day for a friend who is grieving the loss of her mom. The “Use Your Words Guide” was really helpful to prompt my note.”

“I’m gonna need y’all to come up with the next round of these pretty quick. I used my apology card already, and I’m sure I’ll need another one before too long.
